The concept of System Analysis was very common in the early stages of information systems. Requirements elicitation applied to electronic voting system

Nowadays, technology has become the key element to carry out the management, organization and fulfillment of the electoral process. The electoral process should be understood as the actions that entail the making of the electoral roll, citizen identification, the act of voting, the counting of votes and the reporting of the results. The act of voting is considered as the software system to be specified, using as the source of information the National Electoral Code of Argentina Republic. The scenario technique is applied in order to obtain the system requirements, with the purpose of reducing the semantic gap between the legal written documentation and the implementation of an electronic voting system. Constraints regarding the compliance with the current legislation, the specific vocabulary, and the need to have, at least, one stakeholder that interprets the Law are analyzed. An elicitation technique, which emphasized the role of Language of the Universe of Discourse, is proposed. Prácticas de la ingeniería de requerimientos en las organizaciones de desarrollo

Se presenta una línea de investigación en el campo de la Ingeniería de Requerimientos que se ha enfocado en identificar las prácticas que efectivamente utilizan en el desarrollo de software. Se han desarrollado distintos survey en organizaciones que desarrollan software para el mercado o para una organización específica (de la que forme parte o no), así como para el mercado argentino o el exterior. En los mismos se investigaron las prácticas de requerimientos que se utilizan en los proyectos de desarrollo de software. Identificar estas prácticas provee información que permite ajustar planes de transferencia de tecnología, actividades académicas y de investigación a las posibilidades y necesidades de las organizaciones de desarrollo de software. A lo largo del desarrollo de las investigaciones se han formado recursos humanos. Los próximos pasos se orientan a ampliar las muestras y el alcance de los cuestionarios, incorporar el estudio de casos y grounded theory.Eje: Ingeniería de Software.Red de Universidades con Carreras en Informática (RedUNCI

Experimentación en la enseñanza de requerimientos

Se propone desarrollar una serie de experimentos en el curso de Ingeniería de Requerimientos de la carrera de Ingeniería en Informática. De esta forma se propone ampliar el campo ya establecido en las investigaciones experimentales de enfoques de enseñanza de ingeniería de requerimientos en prácticas innovadoras para obtener los requerimientos del usuario. Software size estimation in the early stages of development

This paper presents a pilot study that raised the estimate of functional size in the very early stages of software development. The goal is to find a relationship between some measures of artifacts produced in the Requirements Elicitation process such as the Language Extended Lexicon (LEL) and Function Points (FP) of the scenarios. From a set of case studies the respective LELs were measured and the FP of the scenarios were calculated. The values obtained were related using different regression models. The models were object of a rigorous statistical analysis to identify the one that best represents the experimental data based on the values of their statistics.
